BMW 2 Series Service Packages Explained - Cost And Details

With the introduction of 2 Series in India, BMW marks its entry into the affordable Gran Coupe section. Buyers get to choose from two variants - the 220d Sport Line and the 220d M Sport. The price of both these variants sticks to Rs 39.30 lakh and Rs 41.40 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi respectively. What we have here is the service packages of BMW 2 Series and we explain its cost and details.

As you can see above, the pricing of both the variants are the same but it is the maintenance package which you opt for. The Service Plus offers more advantages over the regular Service variant. Another thing is that they have also included the repair package where there is no limitation on the kilometres you run.

Now, coming to the Service maintenance package and what does it include then it offers all maintenance work including any BMW original part and oil required. In short, your engine oil service, engine oil top-up, vehicle check, service.replacement of the air filter, microfilter, spark plugs and brake fluids. These come when you opt for the standard service.

Next comes the Service Inclusive Plus which includes the maintenance offered in the standard version and additionally offers replacement of front and rear disc pads, replacement of clutch if necessary, and replacement of wiper blades once a year. This is actually a good value for money if you are opting because you would not need to pay anything except the labour charges.

Then comes the Repair Inclusive which provides an extension of your statutory right to claim for vehicles defects (warranty). As you can see from the table above then this is for unlimited km and can be availed at a cost of Rs 29,736.

Under the hood, this BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe carries a BS6 compliant 2.0-litre, inline four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine. It produces over 190 PS of power with a peak torque of 400 Nm. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and BMW claims that the 0-100 km/h sprint is well achieved in just 7.5 seconds. Now, that is fast. The top speed is electronically limited to 225 km/h only and the Gran Coupe is based on the BMWs front-wheel-drive architecture. BMW also has plans to launch the petrol engine but that will happen at a later stage.
