BMW iX1 LWB: New Night Dusk Blue Paint Joins The Palette With Fresh Upholstery

The most noticeable change is the introduction of Night Dusk Blue for the BMW iX1 LWB, a deep metallic shade that adds more personality to the iX1 LWB's already stylish design. This colour joins the existing choices, Carbon Black, Mineral White, and Skyscraper Grey, bringing the exterior palette to four options. The fresh hue is intended to give customers more freedom to customise their EV while keeping the SUV's premium road presence intact. But it doesn't end just here, and goes a step further to offer fresh upholstery options as well inside the cabin.

Inside the cabin, BMW has introduced two new Veganza vegan leather themes of Smoke White & Atlas Grey dual-tone and Castanea. Both trims are finished with a detailed 3D stitching pattern and use sustainably sourced materials. BMW's 'cocooning effect' is now even more pronounced, with the seat upholstery colours extending seamlessly onto the door pads, dashboard, and speaker mesh. These additions not only enhance the SUV's elegance but also underline the brand's growing emphasis on eco-friendly luxury interiors. BMW hasn't altered the equipment list, which already includes a generous set of features such as a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, front-seat massage functions, a 12-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, and multiple ambient lighting modes. Safety remains comprehensive with ABS, ESP, traction control, Level 2 ADAS functions, and a pedestrian alert system that emits sound at low speeds to compensate for EV quietness.

Performance, Battery & Range

The BMW iX1 LWB continues with BMW's fifth-generation eDrive system, producing 204 hp and 250 Nm through a single motor setup. Power comes from a 66.4 kWh battery pack that delivers a claimed 531 km MIDC range, making it one of the more efficient EVs in its class. Charging times remain unchanged with 0-100% in 6.3 hours using an 11 kW AC charger 10-80% in just 29 minutes with a 130 kW DC fast charger. Notably, At 4,616 mm in length and with a 2,800 mm wheelbase, the iX1 LWB holds the title of the longest five-seater luxury EV in India. The car is locally produced and can be booked at all BMW India dealerships in the country from today onwards.
Verdict
While the latest update may not include new hardware or major feature additions, it sharpens the iX1 LWB's appeal at a time when luxury EV demand is rapidly accelerating. The new Blue paint option and upgraded cabin themes propel its premium feel, making it even more attractive to first-time EV buyers and loyal BMW customers alike. For those eyeing a refined, spacious, and efficient luxury electric SUV, the updated iX1 LWB remains one of the segment's strongest contenders, not to reiterate the fact that it is the longest in its class.
