BMW M340i xDrive 50 Jahre Edition Launched At Rs 68.90 Lakh - Details

BMW has launched the 50 Jahre Edition of the M340i xDrive in India at Rs 68.90 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. BMW M340i xDrive 50 Jahre Edition is a locally produced model at its Chennai plant and it can be booked from the website and authorised dealerships across the country.

Sharing the mechanical details first, this one is powered by a 2,998 cc, straight-six petrol motor that belts out 387 hp of power with a peak torque of 500 Nm. It gets mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and 0-100 kmph is well achieved in just 4.4 seconds, making it the quickest car in to be produced in the country.

This car takes care of all three factors - performance, handling and suspension that is enough to put a smile on the face of an enthusiastic driver. It gets BMW xDrive which is an intelligent all-wheel-drive technology, M sport suspension, variable sport steering, M sport brake and M sport differential.

BMW M340i xDrive 50 Jahre Edition is available in two exterior colour options - Tanzanite Blue and Dravit Grey. To differentiate from the regular trims, this one gets a high gloss black kidney grille and Jet black treatment on the mirror caps, window surround and the 19-inch alloy wheels. It also gets adaptive LED headlights with BMW Laserlight that offers variable illumination of the road ahead.

The cabin of this sedan is spacious and gets a driver-focused cockpit. Several M-specific things like the steering wheel with paddle shifters, seat-belt, and upholstery in Sensatec/Alcantara trim are provided in the M340i xDrive. It also gets tri-zone climate control and ambient lighting with six dimmable light designs.

BMW is also providing M Performance accessories with the M340i xDrive and those are - Motorsport Pack and Carbon Pack. The former gets an M Performance steering wheel, rear spoiler in matt black, selector gear knob in Alcantara and more. The carbon pack gets interior trims in carbon fibre, M performance steering wheel, selector gear knob in carbon fibre, rear spoiler in carbon fibre and more.
