
October 2020 was a fantastic month for the Indian automotive sector. Those great sales figures were possible because of the new launches, discounts, offers and more. However, now as the festive season is almost over, the car sales are gradually returning to their normal state. Last month i.e. in November 2020, all the mass-market car manufacturers have registered great YoY growth but overall, the MoM sales figures have declined. However, automakers are still providing year-end benefits to boost sales. Let's now have a look at the OEM-wise figures of the Car Sales of November 2020 in the Indian market.
Car Sales November 2020
Maruti Suzuki

Maruti Suzuki is the largest car manufacturer in India. This Indo-Japanese carmaker always tops the sales chart and in November this year, Maruti Suzuki has sold 1,35,775 vehicles. Maruti Suzuki has sold a decent number of vehicles, however, the carmaker has registered a de-growth of 2.41 per cent on YoY basis and 17.04 per cent de-growth on an MoM basis. Maruti Suzuki has a very big portfolio. The company sells several cars in India ranging from the Alto 800, WagonR, Swift, Baleno to the Vitara Brezza, XL6, S-Cross, etc.
Hyundai

Like all other months, following Maruti Suzuki, next, we have Hyundai. Hyundai has sold 48,800 vehicles in the month of November this year. The company has registered 9.42 per cent YoY growth and 13.79 per cent MoM de-growth. Just like Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai also offers several cars in India ranging from small hatchbacks to big SUVs. Hyundai is also known as the UV-king of India as it has great dominance in the utility vehicle segment. The company's Indian portfolio includes the new Creta, Venue, Verna, all-new i20, Santro, Grand i10 Nios, Tucson, etc.
Tata Motors

Tata Motors is on fire. The company is enjoying a good 2020 as the Indian carmaker is registering a massive growth in sales. In November 2020, Tata Motors sold 23,600 units of vehicles. The company has registered a massive 108.09 per cent YoY growth and that's a commendable job and really worth appreciating. However, like all other car manufacturers, Tata Motors has also registered an MoM de-growth and this time of 8.37 per cent. The Indian portfolio of Tata Motors includes Tiago, Tigor, Nexon, Altroz and the Harrier. The company will soon launch the BS6-compliant Hexa and the Altroz turbo petrol version too.
Kia Motors

Just like Tata Motors, Kia Motors is also on a roll! Kia Motors is one of the most successful car manufacturers of recent times. Thanks to the Seltos and the Sonet, the company is registering massive sales growth. In November 2020, Kia Motors sold 21,022 units of vehicles and it is its highest-ever sales figure in the Indian market. Kia sold 'one' unit more in November than in October this year. This South Korean carmaker has registered a massive 50.10 per cent YoY growth but 0 per cent MoM growth. Kia Motors has currently three cars in its Indian portfolio - Sonet, Seltos and Carnival.
Mahindra

India's Largest Utility Vehicle manufacturer - Mahindra has sold a total of 18,212 units of vehicles in India in the month of November 2020. The Indian UV-maker has registered a solid YoY growth of 24.42 per cent while it has clocked an MoM de-growth of 2.20 per cent. Mahindra has a lot of utility vehicles in its portfolio ranging from the recently launched Thar, XUV 300, XUV 500, Marazzo to the flagship Alturas G4 SUV. The company will also soon launch the BS6-compliant versions of the TUV 300, TUV 300 Plus, etc.
Renault

Renault was the only carmaker in 2019 to register an overall positive YoY growth. However, this time the company has registered de-growth both YoY and on MoM basis. Last month, this French car manufacturer sold 10,191 units of vehicles in the Indian market. Renault India has registered an MoM de-growth of 7.49 per cent and a YoY de-growth of 6.44 per cent. Renault's Indian portfolio currently includes Kwid, Triber and Duster. The company will soon also launch the Kiger sub-compact SUV.
Honda

Honda Cars India has registered a solid YoY growth this month. Honda has also launched several new cars in the Indian market this year. Thanks to these new products, the company is performing decently well since the past few months. Honda Cars India has sold 9,990 units of vehicles in the Indian market in November 2020. The company has registered a massive 54.67 per cent of YoY growth but 7.81 per cent of MoM de-growth. Honda's Indian car portfolio currently includes the new City, Jazz, WR-V, Amaze, Civic and CR-V.
Toyota

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has recently launched the new facelifted Innova Crysta in the Indian market. The carmaker had a great festive season and in the month of November 2020, the company sold 8,508 units of vehicles in the country. This has resulted in an MoM de-growth of 31.24 per cent while the YoY growth stands at 2.36 per cent. Toyota's Indian portfolio has a lot of cars and sport utility vehicles (SUVs) which include the Glanza, Yaris, Urban Cruiser, Innova Crysta and Fortuner. The company will soon also launch the new Toyota Fortuner Facelift in India and its bookings are already open.
MG Motors

The new entrants in the Indian automotive industry like the Kia Motors and the Morris Garages are performing very well. MG Motors entered the Indian market in June 2019 and so far, November 2020 has been the best month for the carmaker in the country. Last month, MG Motors sold 4,163 units of vehicles in the Indian market. This translates to a whopping 28.53 per cent of YoY growth and 11.01 per cent of MoM growth. MG Motors Indian portfolio currently includes the Hector, Hector Plus, ZS EV and the Gloster full-size SUV. The company will soon launch the petrol ZS too.
Ford

Ford makes some really good cars. However, what's sad is that they aren't churning huge volumes for the carmaker in India. The company has sold a total of 3,991 units of vehicles in the Indian market in November 2020. The American carmaker has registered 25.98 per cent of YoY de-growth and the MoM de-growth stands at 43.66 per cent. The company's Indian portfolio currently includes Figo, Freestyle, Aspire, EcoSport and Endeavour and Ford India will soon launch the automatic variants of the Figo hatchback.

Volkswagen

Next in our list, we have the German car manufacturer - Volkswagen. VW India sold 1,412 units of vehicles in the Indian market in November 2020. The company has registered 51.92 per cent of YoY de-growth and 31.26 per cent of MoM de-growth. VW's Indian portfolio currently includes the Polo, Vento, T-Roc and the Tiguan AllSpace. The company will soon launch the Volkswagen Taigun mid-size SUV in the Indian market.
Skoda

After Volkswagen, we have VW's group another brand - Skoda. Skoda has so far enjoyed a great 2020. The Czech car manufacturer launched several new cars in India this year. Skoda sold 1,056 units of vehicles in the Indian market in November 2020. The company has registered 16.59 per cent of YoY de-growth and 25.69 per cent of MoM de-growth. Skoda's Indian portfolio currently has only a limited number of cars which include the Rapid TSI, Superb, Karoq and Octavia RS245. The carmaker will soon also launch the new Octavia and BS6-compliant Kodiaq in the Indian market.
Nissan

Next, we have Nissan in our list. The Japanese car manufacturer Nissan has sold 1,017 units of vehicles in the Indian market in November 2020. The car manufacturer has registered 30.10 per cent of YoY de-growth and 3.46 per cent of MoM growth. Nissan has a very limited number of cars on sale in India. The company's Indian portfolio currently includes the recently launched Magnite, Kicks and the GT-R. Jeep

Finally, the last carmaker in our list is FCA or rather say Jeep India. Jeep India has sold 709 units of vehicles in the Indian market in November 2020. This American car manufacturer has registered a very solid YoY growth. Jeep India has registered an 11.13 per cent of YoY growth but the MoM de-growth stands at 14.78 per cent. Jeep also has a very limited portfolio in India. The company's Indian portfolio includes Jeep Compass, Compass Trailhawk and the hard-core off-roader Wrangler SUV.
