Nissan has today finally launched the all-new Magnite sub-compact SUV in the Indian market. The Magnite is the first big launch from the Japanese car manufacturer - Nissan, after a really long time. As we all know, the compact SUVs are very popular in our country, and so Nissan has also finally launched its first sub-4-metre compact SUV offering in India for the young urban SUV buyers. The Magnite is a bold compact SUV and the company markets it with a funky tagline #IgniteYourCarisma! The introductory price of the new 2020 Nissan Magnite BS6 starts at Rs. 4.99 lakhs and it goes all the way up to Rs. 9.35 lakhs. All prices stick to Ex-showroom Delhi. These introductory prices of the new Nissan Magnite BS6 will be valid for the customers who book their car before December 31, 2020. Post that, the prices will be hiked by a slight margin and the base model will then cost Rs. 5.54 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi. The bookings for the new Nissan Magnite are already open and one can book it by paying a token amount of 11,000 rupees. The test drives are scheduled to start from today at all the Nissan dealerships across the country. Also, Nissan has launched a first-in-industry virtual test drive feature that will allow the customers to experience the all-new Nissan Magnite on their personal device. The deliveries of the Magnite are expected to commence from January 2021. Now, first of all, let's have a look at the special introductory variants-wise price of the new 2020 Nissan Magnite BS6:
The new Nissan Magnite gets two petrol engine options with two different transmission options. It is powered by a BS6-compliant 1.0-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine. This motor churns out 72 PS of power at 6250 RPM and 96 Nm of peak torque at 3500 RPM. It also gets an all-new 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine. This turbo petrol motor churns out 100 PS of maximum power at 5000 RPM and 160 Nm of peak torque at 2800 - 3600 RPM (152 Nm of torque at 2200 - 4400 RPM for CVT). Both the engines come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and the turbo petrol also gets a CVT. Talking about the features, the new Nissan Magnite is fairly equipped with goodies. It gets a large 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Some other features of the Magnite include an all-digital instrument cluster, JBL speakers, 360-degree parking camera, Nissan Connet tech, cruise control, air purifier, sound mood lighting, etc. Nissan is also offering a Tech Pack for the car that will add some more goodies to this compact SUV. Speaking on the launch, Sinan Ozkok, President, Nissan Motor India said, "The all-new Nissan Magnite marks the beginning of a new chapter in the Nissan NEXT strategy for both the Indian and global market. Built on the philosophy of 'Make in India, Make for the World', the all-new Nissan Magnite comes with more than 20 first-in-class and best-in-segment features that provide consumers with a differentiated, innovative and accessible ownership experience."
