New 2021 KTM Duke 125 BS6 Launching Soon in India; Bookings Open - All Details

KTM Duke 125 is the most affordable KTM motorcycle one can currently buy in the Indian market. The KTM Duke 125 was first launched in India in November 2018. However, it's been more than two years and the Baby Duke has not received any significant update yet. But KTM fanboys, it's time to rejoice as soon things are gonna change! According to a latest media report, the company will soon launch the new 2021 KTM Duke 125 BS6 in India and the bookings for the motorcycle are already open. Here, we have for you all the details about it.

The soon to be launched - New 2021 KTM Duke 125 BS6 will get KTM's latest design language. It will borrow its design cues from the recently launched BS6-compliant Duke 200. If you don't remember, let me tell you that earlier this year, the Duke 200 got a significant mechanical and cosmetic overhaul. The same treatment will be now passed on to the Baby Duke. The upcoming new KTM Duke 125 will get a re-designed headlamp and it might get KTM's signature daytime-running LEDs too. Also, it will continue to get LED turn indicators and LED taillamps.

The upcoming KTM Duke 125 will get an all-new LCD instrument cluster. It won't get a TFT display, rather it will get a single-pod LCD cluster, similar to the one we see on the KTM Duke 200 BS6. Talking about other changes, the new KTM Duke 125 will get a fresh sharp design language. The motorcycle will get a sharp headlamp, bold cuts and creases, new tank extensions and new colour schemes. Talking about the colour schemes, it will be available in two all-new triple-tone colour options. They are Orange with White & Black and Black with White & Orange. All in all, the new KTM Duke 125 will be a looker and this Baby Duke will be for sure liked by a lot of people.

The new Duke 125 will be new in terms of aesthetic appeal and features, however, mechanically it will remain the same as before. The upcoming new Duke 125 will continue to be powered by the same BS6-compliant 124.7cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine. This motor will churn out 14.5 PS of maximum power at 9250 RPM and 12 Nm of peak torque at 8000 RPM. The engine will come mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. The mechanicals will also remain identical to the current Duke 125. For suspension duties, it will get USD or upside-down forks at the front and a mono-shock absorber at the rear. The braking duties on the motorcycle will be performed by disc brakes at either end and it will get a single-channel ABS too.

Finally, talking about the price and launch timeline, so according to the latest media report, the India launch of the new 2021 KTM Duke 125 BS6 will take place by the end of December 2020. The pre-launch bookings for the new Duke 125 are already unofficially open at select KTM dealerships across the country. At present, the KTM Duke 125 BS6 is priced at Rs. 1.42 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi. So, we expect the new Duke 125 to be priced somewhere around Rs. 1.50 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi.
