GreenCell Mobility Unveils NeuGo - All Details Here

GreenCell Mobility has recently unveiled NeuGo, the first pan-India intercity electric coach brand. Targeting the new-age travellers and keeping the environment clean, NeuGo plans to have services across 24 cities initially and then increasing their pace later on.

The company plans to introduce 750 electric buses that will ply on the intercity course in Southern, Western and Northern India covering key transit routes with coverage in over 75 cities. The company plans to have 200 electric buses transiting through Delhi-NCR and 100 in Madhya Pradesh.

Not only this, with the introduction of several electric buses, the company will be creating 4,125 jobs and around 56,154 tons of carbon dioxide emission will be avoided over the lifetime of these buses. In its first year of operations, the company will be electrifying approximately 28,000 km across the country.

With the support from Government of India, early adoption of EVs and the FAME II scheme, electric buses have gained a sparkling response in India. Multiple state governments want to electrify their state with the electric buses and thus make thus start the journey of electrifying their bus-based transport system.
