Sharper Front-End Design With Connected Lighting

Honda City Facelift

One of the biggest highlights of the updated Honda City is its revised front fascia. The sedan now gets a more aggressive and premium-looking nose with redesigned LED headlights and a refreshed grille setup. The headlamp units appear to feature projector lighting along with sleek LED DRLs positioned at the top section. Interestingly, both DRLs are now connected through a slim illuminated strip integrated into the grille, giving the sedan a more modern appearance.

Honda has also redesigned the front bumper, making it look noticeably sportier than before. The lower section appears cleaner and more sculpted, while the front camera mounted in the middle hints at the arrival of a new surround-view camera setup.

New Alloy Wheels Add Sportier Appeal

In profile, the overall silhouette of the City remains largely unchanged, which is understandable considering the current-generation model still carries a strong road presence. However, Honda seems to have added a fresh touch with newly designed alloy wheels finished in black.

The updated wheel design adds more character to the sedan and enhances its sporty stance. The facelift is expected to continue with 16-inch alloy wheels in higher trims.

Upcoming Honda City

For the first time, the rear styling of the upcoming City facelift has also been captured clearly. While the tail lamp shape looks similar to the current model, Honda may introduce a smoked treatment to make them look sharper.

The boot lid now appears to feature a more integrated spoiler design, adding a sportier finish to the rear section. Honda has also revised the bumper styling, replacing the existing C-shaped detailing with a cleaner and more athletic-looking design theme.

Bigger Infotainment Screen & Feature Upgrades

City Facelift

Inside the cabin, Honda is expected to focus on improving the overall tech experience. Spyshots suggest the sedan could receive a larger infotainment display compared to the current 8-inch touchscreen unit.

The new screen appears to have a more upright design and is likely to support wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. A premium audio system is also expected to be part of the package. The cabin layout itself remains familiar with the dual-tone black and beige interior theme continuing. Features like ambient lighting and beige seat upholstery can also be seen in the spotted model.

Honda City Facelift: 360-Degree Camera Confirmed

One major feature addition confirmed through the latest spyshots is a 360-degree camera system. A dedicated camera button positioned near the steering wheel strongly indicates that Honda will finally offer a surround-view monitor with the updated City.

Ventilated front seats are also expected to be introduced, further strengthening the sedans premium positioning in the segment.

Engine Options Likely To Remain Unchanged

Facelifted City

Mechanically, Honda is unlikely to make any major changes. The facelifted City is expected to continue with the familiar 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a CVT automatic transmission.

Honda is also expected to retain the strong hybrid e:HEV variant, which remains one of the most fuel-efficient sedans in the country with a claimed mileage figure of up to 27.1 km/l.

Launch On May 22

With dealership arrivals already underway, Honda is all set to officially unveil the updated City on May 22. The facelift aims to keep the sedan competitive in a market increasingly dominated by SUVs, while also enhancing its premium appeal with new styling and feature additions.

The City has always been one of Honda's strongest products in India, and this update could help it attract buyers looking for a stylish, feature-loaded and refined midsize sedan experience.
