Hyundai Motors is among the handful of car manufacturers that are participating in the upcoming Indian Auto Expo'23. However, ahead of the event, Hyundai has confirmed a new SUV. The Hyundai Nexo SUV which is powered by hydrogen fuel will be displayed at the expo. Read more details on this unique SUV below.

Hyundai Nexo SUV Details
The one-of-a-kind Nexo is an engineering marvel in itself. Hyundai has made it look like a conventional SUV with all the features. But, it is its powertrain that is interesting. The Nexo uses a hydrogen cum air fuel generator. Equipped with a 52-lt of the fuel tank, it can occupy up to 6.35 kg of liquid hydrogen. This hydrogen is carried over and mixed with oxygen. The oxygen, meanwhile, is sucked from the air taken in.
Furthermore, a chemical reactor generates electricity and water from this mixture. Hence, a peak power of up to 161 bhp & 395 Nm of peak torque is produced. Additionally, the excess electricity generated is stored in a 15.6kWh battery pack. This battery pack powers the SUV whenever needed and also gets recharged via braking regeneration.
All thanks to this engineering system, it can do 0-100 kmph in 9.5 seconds. Which we think is wonderful for such a big car. Meanwhile, it comes in different variants which provide a driving range from 570-600 km. Additionally, Hyundai will be showcasing its Ioniq 6 EV along with it at the Expo'23. Meanwhile, Hyundai is going to showcase a robotic dog & a Hyundai Smart Sense (ADAS) zone to give its audience a feel of the tech. However, the Nexo shall not be launched in India soon. We suspect that Hyundai is going to focus on the ICE & hybrid models for some time now.

The Indian Auto Expo'23 is a much-awaited automotive event. After the pandemic has ended, car giants as such Hyundai are eyeing it extensively.
