Hyundai Venue is barely an year old compact SUV in the Indian market and it rivals with the popular Maruti Suzuki Brezza. Now, the former has beaten the Brezza in sales previously but it was the Maruti which always pounced at its first place. However, the sales number seems to take a new turn in March 2020 when Hyundai Venue beat the Maruti Brezza.
Hyundai Venue sales number sees a figure of 6,127 units while Maruti only sold 5,513 of Brezza. But what makes it a special SUV And can it become the most selling SUV in the coming months Well, we find that out
Hyundai Venue has an advantage over Brezza as the former gets a new BS6 compliant 1.5L diesel engine. On the other hand, Maruti has discontinued the reliable 1.3L DDiS diesel engine from the Brezza. It only comes in a sole 1.5L petrol engine.
Turbo Petrol Engine With 7-speed DCT
Hyundai offers two petrol engines with the Venue - 1.2L petrol and a 1.0L turbo petrol. The latter makes 120 bhp on tap and comes with a smooth 7-speed DCT gearbox. This engine is more powerful than the 1.5L petrol of Brezza and gearbox is way faster than the 4-speed torque converter AT that comes with Brezza.
Hyundai was the first to bring in the internet-connected technology in the Venue first. This feature lets you Remote Start/Stop, Horn and Light Control, Doors Lock and Unlock, providing Real-Time Traffic Information, Destination Link in with Schedule, Climate Control and several others.
When compared to the Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue offers a total of 6 airbags for its top trim whereas the former sticks with dual airbags only. The automatic trim of Venue is also available with Electronic Stability Program which the Brezza lacks.
Believe me you, a sunroof is an added advantage to the buyer when any carmaker offers it. And Hyundai offers this feature with the Venue. Surprisingly, Maruti Brezza is the only compact SUV which does not get this feature. All its competition come with this feature.
Hyundai offers a 3 years/1,00,000 km standard warranty with the Venue whereas Maruti offers a 2 years/40,000 package for the Brezza. For those who are looking for clicking in more kilometres or keeping the car longer, Venue turns out to be a better deal.
