JMT 1000 HS Now Rs.12,082 Cheaper Thanks To Fame II Subsidy

Are you looking to buy an electric two-wheeler at an affordable price? The JMT 1000 HS is perfect for you since it is now Rs.12,082 cheaper thanks to Fame II Subsidy.

The market for electric vehicles has been growing gradually in the country. The government of India has been pushing forward many schemes to increase the demand for EVs simply for the reason that electric vehicles are the solution for safer and sustainable mobility. The demand for EVs in the country has been gaining positive momentum but the government has no plans to play the "slow and steady wins the race" game. It now has made EVs more affordable by making amendments to the Fame-ll policy under the National Mission on Electric Mobility (NMEM) by the Department of Heavy Industries, Government of India.

Interestingly, EV makers have been accepting the new amendment by the Government of India. One such EV maker which has fully accepted the amendment with open arms is Jitendra Electric Vehicles.

"I thank the Central government and especially the Department of Heavy Industries for supporting our EV industry in a time of crisis. The sharp decline in on-road prices will make electric two-wheelers more affordable for the common person. We have slowly started reeling from the economic halt spurred by the deadly second wave of COVID-19. Therefore, the timely tweaks in FAME-ll policy are all the more important for the domestic EV industry by accelerating EV adoption among the common people," said the companys Co-founder Director Samkit Shah.

The Dept. of Heavy Industry notified that under the amendment, electric two-wheelers will have an incentive of Rs.15,000 kWh which is Rs.10,000 more than the previous subsidy quotes. The incentives were basically limited to 20 per cent However, under the amendment, the incentives for electric two-wheelers have been now capped at 40 per cent.

The electric scooter JMT 1000 HS will now benefit from the amendments made to the Fame-II passed by the government. A sharp price drop was witnessed by JMT customers for its enhanced IoT enabled electric scooters which come equipped with a powerful 1Kw motor and unique features such as a regenerative braking system, reverse assistant etc.

The JMT 1000 HS is now available to the customer at a staggering price of Rs.61,995 which is Rs.12,082 cheaper. The vehicle also comes with 3 years standard warranty.

Shah elaborates about the company's future plans and targets, "Our company plans to sell 3X units this fiscal year as compared to last fiscal year. The increase in subsidy will definitely boost sales and help us achieve our target. It will further ease in reaching out to customers in all districts throughout India and thus increase our footprint in the national market."
