Fresh But Familiar Design

Visually, the Carens Clavis EV builds on the recognisable profile of the standard Carens Clavis but gets an all-electric makeover. The most noticeable change is the closed front grille that now doubles up as a smartly integrated charging port. Smooth surfaces, a streamlined front fascia, and a new LED light signature at the rear give the MPV a futuristic stance while preserving its MPV roots.
Subtle tweaks like reworked bumpers, new aerodynamic alloy wheels, and a connected LED light bar lend the vehicle a tech-forward personality, clearly distinguishing it from its petrol and diesel siblings.
Interiors with EV-Centric Touches

Step inside and you are greeted with a cabin that balances function and flair. The dual-tone black-and-white interior theme adds a sense of space, while the redesigned centre console with a retractable compartment increases day-to-day usability.

Dominating the dashboard are two expansive 12.3-inch screens - one for infotainment and the other serving as the driver's display - both running Kias latest EV-focused UI. From real-time range updates to power consumption graphics, the Carens Clavis EV offers all the data an electric car owner could need at their fingertips.
Loaded to the Roof with Features

In typical Kia fashion, the Clavis EV doesn't cut corners when it comes to equipment. Premium features like powered and ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, Boss mode, V2L and even wireless charging for front and rear passengers make it a strong contender in the premium EV space.
On the safety front, it offers six airbags as standard, a 360-degree camera, blind spot monitoring, electric parking brake and even a Level 2 ADAS suite - including adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and emergency braking, making it one of the most well-rounded offerings in its segment.
Battery, Range & Powertrain Details

Under the floor sits a 51.4 kWh battery, which Kia claims can deliver up to 490 km of range (MIDC-tested). For those looking for a more affordable entry point, a smaller 42 kWh battery variant is expected, with an estimated range closer to 400 km.
While Kia has kept motor specs under wraps for now, sources indicate a front-wheel-drive setup with output figures between 170 PS and 255 Nm, which should offer enough grunt for city commutes and highway cruising alike.
Rivals in India

Starting at a price tag of Rs 17.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and going up to Rs. 24.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the range-topping HTX+ variant, the Carens Clavis EV enters the Indian EV scene with a distinct advantage - it is the only dedicated 7-seater electric MPV in its price band. While it doesn't have a direct rival yet, it will go head-to-head with premium 5-seater EV SUVs like the MG ZS EV, Hyundai Creta EV, Tata Curvv EV, Mahindra BE 6, and the upcoming Maruti e-Vitara.
