New Lexus ES: Design, Bigger Dimensions, And More

The upcoming Lexus ES adopts a noticeably sharper and more futuristic design compared with the outgoing model. The sedan has also grown in size and is now longer, taller, and wider, while the wheelbase has also been increased for a better rear seating experience. At the front, the sedan introduces a new lighting signature with L-shaped daytime running lamps and indicators. From the side, the sedan features a clean profile highlighted by a pronounced aerodynamic crease and newly designed alloy wheels. The roofline adopts a subtle Kammtail-inspired shape, enhancing both aerodynamics and styling. At the rear, the full-width LED light bar with illuminated LEXUS lettering becomes the focal point, giving the sedan a modern and distinctive look.

Inside the cabin, the Lexus ES adopts a minimalist and technology-driven layout. The dashboard design is cleaner than before, with a large 14-inch infotainment touchscreen taking centre stage with many vehicle functions have been integrated into this interface. Powertrain Options

Globally, the Lexus ES is available with a mix of hybrid and fully electric powertrains. For India, Lexus is expected to continue prioritising strong hybrid technology, similar to the current model. The sedan could be offered in ES300h and ES350h variants, both powered by a 2.5-litre petrol-hybrid setup but tuned for different performance levels. Depending on the variant, the system could produce around 201 hp in the ES300h and up to 247 hp in the ES350h. An e-CVT automatic transmission will likely be standard, with the possibility of front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations depending on the variant.

Expected Pricing

The new Lexus ES is expected to be assembled in India via the CKD (Completely Knocked Down) route, which should help Lexus keep pricing competitive. Early estimates suggest a starting price between Rs 65 lakh and Rs 70 lakh (ex-showroom). This positioning places the sedan directly against established German rivals in the premium midsize luxury sedan category.
