Mahindra Signs MoU with Campervan Factory to Manufacture Bolero Gold Camper

The Mahindra Bolero Gold Camper will be a budget-friendly luxury camper in India. It will be mainly oriented for tourists and travelers, alike.

Mahindra and Mahindra Pvt. Ltd. will launch luxury campers Inda in collaboration with Campervan Factory Pvt. Ltd.. These campers will be based on Mahindras double-cab Bolero Camper Gold platform, and it will mostly cater to the self-driving tourism segment.

The Bolero Campervans will offer several facilities, from unique smart water solutions to an intricate and luxury interior. Each camper will have a sleeping facility for four people, an attached restroom fitted with a bio-toilet, and a shower. It'll also feature a complete kitchen with both, a mini-fridge and a microwave. An air conditioner is also available, alongside a multimedia player that also includes television.

This is the first time, that an Indian automotive OEM has company has actively ventured into the camper segment. The project was developed with assistance from IIT Madras Advanced Manufacturing Technology Development Centre (AMTDC), International Centre for Clean Water (ICCW), and Saint Gobain Research Centre with their expertise in glazed solutions.

Mahindra assures that the Campervan will be easy to operate and drive, and will not require any special skills. And coupled with the fact that the Bolero Camper Gold double-truck is already acknowledged for its reliability, performance, efficiency, ruggedness, and capability -  makes it all the more beneficial for tourists to wander freely with the assurance of privacy and safety.

Present at the occasion of the launch was Harish Lalchandani, the VP, Marketing, Mahindra Automotive. He said, Mahindras entry into this segment fulfills the requirements of travel enthusiasts for whom the open road is the destination and those who want to enjoy the outdoors in complete freedom. Our Bolero Camper Gold - luxury camper trucks will be kitted with all modern conveniences for safe, comfortable, and enjoyable travel  that too, at an affordable cost. Our alliance with Campervan Factory to produce these high-quality yet rugged camper trucks will be a boon for Indias travel and tourism industry to cater to a new class of adventure seekers and add a new source and RoI to business operations.
