Mahindra Thar Gets New Feature & Minor Design Tweaks - Details

Mahindra is revamping all of its products with the new Twin Peaks logo. The exterior of the new Thar has been updated with the new Twin Peaks logo, along with some minor inside design changes. The update also includes a new function for the new Thar.

Mahindra Thar Features & Design Updates

Idle Start-Stop technology is one of the new features of the Mahindra Thar. By turning off the engine while at a red light, the Idle Start Stop will aid in fuel conservation. However, the manual versions of the vehicle will be the only ones with this capability. Additionally, the manufacturer has eliminated one Type-A USB connector from the centre console, leaving only one USB port and an Aux port.

If we talk about interior alterations, the centre console used to have some toggle switches located beneath the air conditioner controls. Only three of those switches were operational; the other three were dummy switches to cover the space. The six switches are now all operational with the new update. While the switches on its right regulate the hill descent control, central door locking, and traction control system, the centre toggle switch continues to operate the hazard light. The controls for the passenger airbag and seatbelt (on/off) are located on the left of the hazard toggle switch. Additionally, these switches are now easier to use while driving and more haptic.

Additionally, two colour optionsRocky Beige and Mystic Copperhave been discontinued by the brand. The Thar might have a higher price tag than it does now due to the addition of new features. The Thar comes at a starting price of Rs 13.53 lakh (ex-showroom), which goes up to Rs 14.22 lakh (Ex-showroom).
