Baleno Facelift: Design Update

The upcoming Baleno facelift has been spotted testing under heavy camouflage, though it still offers a glimpse of its updated design. At front, the premium hatchback is likely to feature a reworked grille that gives it a sleeker appearance, complemented with updated set of headlamps and a fresh bumper design to give it a clean and fresh appeal.

From the sides, the Baleno Facelift remains largely the same with its ongoing generation. However, one noticeable update visible in the images is a new set of the alloy wheels. Moving to the rear, the design doesn't appear to undergo major changes, with the tailgate looking similar to the current model. That said, minor tweaks to the bumper and updated LED tail lamp elements could give it a cleaner and more modern look.
Interior Changes

There is no clear image of the interior, but the recent spy shots gives us an idea about the cabin of the Baleno Facelift. As per the spy shot images the dashboard design is likely to remain familiar. That said, Maruti is expected to make significant upgrades in terms of interior quality, with premium materials and refreshed upholstery.
Moreover, the feature list is expected to receive some thoughtful additions that include enhancements in connectivity and infotainment, along with the addition of more comfort-focused features.
Maruti Baleno Facelift: Powertrain Option
Maruti is working on developing multiple fuel-saving technologies, that said we could expect Baleno Facelift to feature an affordable hybrid setup. The hybrid system is likely to be coupled with the familiar 1.2-litre petrol engine focused on better fuel economy. Moreover, the current 1.2L DualJet petrol unit is likely to be introduced with a CNG variant. Along with that there is a possible chance of getting a 1.0-litre petrol engine with the Baleno Facelift although nothing has been officially confirmed yet.
Price and Rival

In terms of pricing, Maruti is going to keep the price for the upcoming Baleno in a competitive bracket, likely to price around Rs 6.5 lakh (ex-showroom). In terms of competition, the Maruti Baleno continues to take on rivals like the Hyundai i20 and Tata Altroz. While the Baleno has traditionally enjoyed a strong edge in sales, the segment is expected to get more competitive in the near future.
