Maruti Suzuki Brezza Facelift Bookings Open At Rs 11,000 Ahead Of July 24 Launch

The Maruti Suzuki Brezza facelift is just days away from its July 24 launch, and its pre-bookings have commenced at Rs 11,000. This is the first major facelift for the Brezza since its second-generation launch in 2022. There are high expectations from this SUV, as the competition has really stiffened with the latest features and multiple engine options. As a result, many customers who would have otherwise ended up buying the Brezza have shifted to its rivals. Now, let's take a look at everything that's expected from this facelift.

Maruti Brezza Facelift

A few days ago, Maruti Suzuki released the teaser of the new Brezza, giving us a hint of what to expect. For starters, the SUV will get a new grille with red accents. Plus, the bumper will feature a silver skid plate with a red strip running across it, giving it a sportier stance rather than making it look elegant. That said, the LED headlight design remains the same, and the overall silhouette is also unchanged.

The teaser also reveals the side profile, showcasing plastic body cladding with integrated skid plate styling, adding another rugged touch to the SUV. This is all that Maruti Suzuki has revealed through the teaser so far. However, what hasn't been shown yet is the new set of alloy wheels, which are expected to feature a fresh design. Now, let's take a look at what's expected.

10.1 Infotainment System

Brezza

This is arguably the biggest change we expect Maruti Suzuki to introduce with the Brezza facelift, a larger 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen replacing the current 9-inch unit. The competition has significantly raised the bar, with rivals like the Hyundai Venue and Kia Syros offering larger and more feature-rich infotainment systems, including 12.3-inch displays.

As a result, this is one of the most anticipated upgrades on the Brezza facelift. We also expect Maruti Suzuki to equip it with the latest infotainment system seen on the Victoris, featuring a high-definition display, a smoother user interface, and an overall improved user experience.

Three Spoke Steering Wheel

Brezza Facelift

Another feature expected to make its way into the new Brezza is a three-spoke leatherette steering wheel with integrated controls, a design usually seen in Maruti Suzuki's premium offerings. The current flat-bottom, three-spoke steering wheel has started to feel dated and lacks the premium appeal expected in today's competitive segment.

The addition of this new steering wheel is likely to enhance the overall cabin ambience, making the interior feel more upmarket. However, if introduced, it is expected to be limited to the top-spec variant, while the lower and mid-spec variants are likely to continue with the existing steering wheel design.

Front Ventilated Seats

Brezza

Front ventilated seats have become one of the most sought-after features among car buyers, with many considering them a must-have while purchasing a new vehicle. The current Brezza misses out on this feature, but it is expected to be introduced with the facelift launching on July 24.

Moreover, Maruti Suzuki seats are among the most comfortable in the segment, offering excellent cushioning and support. The addition of front ventilated seats will further enhance the comfort of front occupants, especially during hot summer months.

Type-C Port

Brezza

Today, almost every smartphone comes with a USB Type-C charging port, making it an essential feature in modern cars. That said, the current Brezza offers a fast USB Type-C charging port only for the rear passengers, while those seated in the front have to make do with a conventional USB port.

With the facelift, Maruti Suzuki is expected to offer at least two USB Type-C ports at the front, one for each front occupant, along with similar charging options for the rear passengers. This is becoming increasingly important, as smartphones, laptops, tablets, and iPads now commonly rely on USB Type-C charging.

Digital Driver Display

Maruti Brezza

The current Brezza already offers a semi-digital instrument cluster, but with the facelift, Maruti Suzuki is expected to introduce a larger 10.25-inch fully digital driver display. This unit is likely to be the same as the one offered on the Maruti Suzuki Victoris, bringing a more modern look to the cabin.

Apart from improving the overall premium appeal of the interior, the new display is expected to offer sharper graphics, multiple display themes, turn-by-turn navigation, and a host of vehicle information. If introduced, this upgrade will further strengthen the Brezza's position against rivals that already offer fully digital instrument clusters.

End Note:

Since this is a mid-life facelift rather than a generation update, no mechanical changes are expected. The Brezza is likely to continue with its 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with Maruti Suzuki's mild-hybrid technology. The existing transmission options, including the 5-speed manual and the 6-speed torque converter automatic, are also expected to remain unchanged.

Instead, the facelift is expected to focus on upgrading the feature list and enhancing the overall cabin experience to keep the Brezza competitive in an increasingly crowded compact SUV segment. Prices are also expected to remain largely unchanged. With the launch scheduled for July 24, it will be interesting to see what Maruti Suzuki has in store for one of its best-selling SUVs.
