Mercedes-Benz AMG C43 Launched In India At Rs. 98 Lakhs- Details

Mercedes-Benz has launched the all-new AMG C43 4MATIC in India at a starting price of Rs. 98 lakhs. While this is a new launch, it is not the only one. The brand has launched the GLE facelift alongside this AMG. Meanwhile, it carries on with its AMG-specific styling and appeal.

The Mercedes-AMG C43 stands out with distinctive features compared to the standard C-Class sedan. Notably, it showcases the Panamericana grille with vertical slats,. It also incorporates adaptive LED headlights with a single DRL, prominent air intakes on the front bumper with black accents, and gloss-black wing mirrors.

The side profile maintains its general appearance, with new 'Turbo Electrified' badges, thicker side sills, and standard 18-inch alloy wheels being the main differences. The Mercedes-AMG C 43 features distinctive AMG-specific alloy wheels in its profile, as well as a modified diffuser and exhaust system at the rear.

Interior And Features

When it comes to the interiors, there's not a substantial difference between the C 43 and the standard C-Class. The notable distinctions include AMG-specific digital graphics on the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and the 11.9-inch touchscreen system. Engine: Where The Magic Is!

The previous 362hp, 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 engine has been replaced with a new 2.0-litre four-cylinder unit featuring an electric turbocharger. This engine now generates 408hp and 500Nm of torque, with an additional 14hp contributed by the 48V mild-hybrid system. Power is transmitted to all four wheels through a nine-speed automatic gearbox with a 'Race Start' feature, courtesy of Merc-AMG's 4MATIC drive system. As a result of this, it goes from 0-100 kmph in just 4.7 seconds.

The downsized, yet more powerful 2.0-litre engine in the C43 AMG incorporates technology inspired by Formula 1, notably the electric exhaust gas turbocharger. This advanced turbocharging system employs a 48V electric motor to deliver immediate and responsive performance across the entire range of engine speeds.
