In mid-2022, MG launched its MG Charge initiative in India, aiming to install 1,000 charging points within 1,000 days. Successfully hitting the halfway mark, the company has already set up 500 chargers in just 500 days. With a strong focus on establishing a robust EV infrastructure in India, MG Motor is putting in extensive efforts to achieve its goal. Through dedicated efforts, the company has been steadily installing approximately one charging station per day, extending its coverage to around 50 major cities. Working closely with ecosystem partners like Exicom Telesystems, ElectreeFi, EchargerBays, Ionage, Statiq, and Highway Delite, MG Motor India strategically deployed 7.4kW chargers as part of this initiative.

In the current portfolio, MG has two electric vehicles: the Comet EV and the ZS EV. Additionally, they offer other models such as the Hector, Gloster, and Astor.

MG Motor India Introduces New Ownership Program For Gloster

MG India recently introduced an upgraded ownership experience program for the MG Gloster. Owners can enjoy zero service and repair costs, including wear-and-tear parts expenses, for the first three years or up to 45,000 kilometres. It also covers a wide range of components under this program, including Wiper blades, Engine oil, Oil filters, Electrical wiring, Hoses, Motors, and Brake pads.

This means that the costs for servicing or replacing these parts during the first three years (up to 45,000 kilometres) will be borne by MG Motor India. Customers have the option to sell their vehicle back to MG Motor India under an assured buyback scheme. Moreover, customers have the option to extend this coverage for up to 5 years or 75,000 kilometres.
