Mercedes-AMG recently revealed the new C43 which now gets an updated powertrain, a new design, and a redesigned cabin. The new AMG C43 is based on the W206 C-Class and additionally boasts sporty design inserts and AMG-specific interior updates. In the global markets, the new Mercedes-AMG C43 will be offered in sedan and estate body styles. Here are all the details that you should check out.
The new Mercedes-AMG C43 gets updated looks and has a number of changes that differentiates it from the standard C-Class sedan. Just like other AMG cars, the new AMG C43 will be equipped with traditional AMG styling touches. These include the sporty Panamericana grille with vertical slats, adaptive LED headlights, single Daytime Running Lamp, large air intakes, sporty black inserts, and gloss-black wing mirrors. It also gets special 18-inch alloy wheels to complement the whole package. The rear however is largely dominated by quad tailpipes and different rear bumpers with a diffuser for improved aerodynamics.

Powering the new AMG C43 will be a new 2.0-L turbocharged petrol engine with an electric turbocharger. This new engine is internally codenamed the M139 and boasts a power and torque output of 402 hp and 500 Nm respectively. This engine also comes equipped with a 48V mid-hybrid system. A nine-speed automatic gearbox comes mated to this engine and has a special Race Start functionality that sends power to all four wheels via the 4Matic drive system. A modified exhaust is also on offer.
Inside, the car gets AMG-specific digital graphics for the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and the 11.9-inch touchscreen system. In addition to this, it also gets AMG specific updates including a leather-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel, sports seats, pedals, and red seat belts. On the other hand, it comes with features like automatic climate control, wireless charger, steering mounted controls, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and more.
