QJ Motors SRK 400 Naked Sports Bike Revealed - Rivals KTM Duke 390

QJ Motors SRK 400 naked sports motorcycle was revealed for the European market. The upcoming mid-size bike will rival the KTM Duke 390.

Benelli's parent company has revealed a new product for the European motorcycle market. The QJ Motors SRK 400 naked sports motorcycle was revealed which will rival the likes of the KTM Duke 390 and the Kawasaki Z400 internationally. After taking over the Italian brand Benelli, QJ Motors is highly dedicated to establishing itself in the global markets.

Badged as 'SRK 400', the naked sports bike is scheduled for a launch in the upcoming July 2022. This will also become the most affordable & entry-level product for QJ Motors in the European market after the launch. QJ Motors has already planned to launch a bunch of products targeted especially at the European market.

QJ Motors SRK 400 Design & Features

The SRK 400 naked sports motorcycle has been designed with a sharp layout overall. At the front, an all-LED headlight with LED DRLs is designed in a V-pattern. This layout provides a more sharp edge to the front. Above the headlight is the all-digital instrument cluster with MID. Also, the big chunky USD forks give the bike a muscular look.

Enhancing the muscular design is the fuel tank which embeds the aero dams on the both sides. A split-seat set up along the short tail design makes the bike look compact & bulky. The under-engine crash guard also provides for a sharp overall look of the bike. The diagonal-set-up mono-shock suspension does look different and eye-catching at the same time.

QJ Motors use a 110/70 R17 alloy wheel at the front & a 150/60 R17 alloy wheel at the rear. The tyre setup is adequate to maintain the overall chassis balance & make the SRK 400 flickable in traffic. Although, dimension-wise this motorcycle is the biggest in the segment. We anticipate that the handling will be affected due to its size.

SRK 400 Engine & Specification

QJ Motors has equipped the SRK 400 with a 400cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that produces a peak power of 41 hp & 37 Nm of peak torque. This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-assist clutch function embedded in it. This makes the performance of the SRK 400 adequate as compared to the rivals.

Also, at 186 kg, SRK 400 is just 20 kg heavier than its immediate rivals in the segment. QJ has equipped the motorcycle with dual-disc brakes at the front & a single disc brake at the rear tyre. Also, the underbelly exhaust is made of a two-in-one pattern which rival like KTM does not offer due to being single-cylinder.

SRK 400 Price & Launch

QJ Motors has already announced that the 400 naked sports bike will be available at showrooms by July 2022. Once launched, this motorcycle is expected to bear a tag of EUR 5,800 which equates to Rs 4.67 Lakhs (approximately). Talking about its chances of coming to India are slim to none as of now. But, if Benelli has plans than this can be launched in India as a rebadged bike. Who knows what lies ahead in the future?
