1: Design

Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z

While Bajaj has designed the Pulsar NS400Z completely from scratch, it looks like an evolved version of the NS series bikes. The front fascia is aggressive due to the LED projector headlight design which has big DRLs. The naked styling is enhanced by the large fuel tank shrouds and funky graphics. It also gets split seats that offer a commanding riding position. The rear profile looks similar to the Pulsar NS 200 but with bigger dimensions. Overall, the bike is butch and substantial in design and size.

2: Features

Bajaj has equipped the new NS400Z with the latest features. It gets a digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. This screen also has four ride modes: Road, Rain, Sport, and Off-Road. To enhance safety, Bajaj has equipped it with dual-channel ABS (switchable), traction control, and ride-by-wire throttle. Additionally, it gets adjustable levers and a USB phone charging port. It also gets 5-step adjustable levers and a hazard warning light switch.

3: Engine

To keep the cost aggressive, the NS400Z uses a Dominar 400-sourced powertrain. This 373cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine generates a peak power of 39.4 bhp and 35 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a 6-speed transmission. Bajaj claims that it is the fastest Pulsar and it can touch a top speed of 154 kmph (claimed).

4: Hardware

Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z uses a perimeter frame chassis to behold the engine and electronics. The front suspension is a 43mm upside-down fork unit while the rear is a 7-step preload adjustable unit. Braking duties are paid by a 320mm front disc rotor and a 230mm rear disc rotor. It also gets dual-channel ABS as standard. To provide a commanding ride, it rides on 17-inch alloy wheels and a 110/70 tyre section at the front and a 140/70 tyre section at the rear.

5: Colour Options

The new Pulsar NS400Z is being offered in four colour options. These are - Pewter Grey, Brooklyn Black, Metallic Pearl White, and Glossy Racing Red. All of these colours are priced at the same tag of Rs 2 lakh. The graphics used on these colours are also similar but the colour combo is different. The new Pulsar NS 400 rivals the Triumph Speed 400, KTM 390 Duke, and TVS Apache RTR 310.
