Royal Enfield Continental GT650 Spied Testing With Alloy Wheels

Royal Enfield Continental GT650 has been spied testing equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels. The test bike also had a new taillight fitted to it.

If you own a Royal Enfield Continental GT650 or the Interceptor 650, the good news is on its way. A GT650 test bike was spied recently being tested with alloy wheels. The bike also had a revised taillight section and tubeless tyres. The upcoming updated bike range is suspected to launch by the end of this year in India.

2023 RE Continental GT650 Details

The spied motorcycle was on a test run along with an Interceptor 650 & a Super Meteor 650. As the Interceptor could not be photographed, the GT650 showcased the desired information. The test bike was fitted with 18-inch alloy wheels. For existing customers, the tube-type tyres have been a hassle since the launch of the 650 twins. Paying attention to the continuous feedback from the customers, the alloy wheels are being developed along with tubeless tyres.

Meanwhile, the test bike also had a redesigned tail section. The rectangular taillight has been replaced by a round retro light as seen on the Meteor 350 & the Hunter 350. However, the rest of the motorcycle design seems to be the same as the current bike. Additionally, the test bike looked neo-retro with the alloy wheels. We also suspect that it will embrace CEAT tubeless tyres once it makes to debut.

The expected launch time is around this year-end as the company will introduce its MY23 lineup. Some very subtle changes and updates like alloy wheels shall be helpful for the RE buyers. If you are planning for the updated bike, expect to shell around Rs 7-8k more than the current bike. It is due to the added alloy wheels. However, if you own the bike and want to upgrade; RE will offer the alloy wheels as a genuine accessory. We expect that a set of 18-inch alloy wheels shall cost somewhere around Rs 16,000.
