Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Officially Teased For The First Time

Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 has been officially teased for the first time. The new Himalayan is expected to launch in the coming weeks.

The upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 ADV has been officially teased for the first time. The buzz of its launch has been long due in the Indian market. The bike has been teased in a short video that has been posted on the official social media handles of the company. The teaser indicates that the launch is coming soon of the new ADV from RE.

Speaking of the teaser video, it has been posted by Mr. Sidharth Lal himself. The short video shows a test mule riding with a pack of other bikes. The test bike has been shown crossing a water puddle at a high altitude (probably in the Himalayas). Additionally, a short caption has been attached saying 'Testing" over the teaser clip.

Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Details

The new Himalayan is going to be bigger, more powerful, & tech-rich as compared to the current bike. The test mules of it have been spotted from time to time in the past. As expected, it will have a redesigned chassis hence bigger dimensions to accommodate a bigger engine. However, the base design seems to be carried forward from the current bike itself. It has been designed in the typical ADV style.

As seen on the test bikes in the past as well, the front has a round LED headlight. The turn indicators are LED as well. A long travel suspension maybe with adjustable USD forks has been used. RE has also fitted a long beak at the front providing it a complete rally-spec outlook. Meanwhile, the windshield looks similar to the current-gen bike. However, it is a test bike hence we may not predict that it is the final equipment.

Engine & Specifications

The talking point of the new Himalayan is its bigger engine. Rumors have it that it will feature a 450cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. The power figures of it are also suspected to be around 40 bhp. If this happens, it will have an upper hand over its rivals like the KTM Adventure 390. Additionally, a 6-speed gearbox, multiple ride modes, digital infotainment screen, and traction control are also expected.

We suspect that the launch of it may take place during the upcoming festive season. The launch price is likely to remain around Rs 2.5 lakh range.
