Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 launch is just around the corner. The cult bike maker will debut the 650cc cruiser bike at the upcoming EICMA this month. Meanwhile, ahead of its launch, a production-ready test mule has been spotted. The roadside resting test bike showcases more crucial details about one of the most awaited bike launches of 2022.

Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 Details

The latest spy shots of the upcoming cruiser reveal that it will get CEAT Zoom Cruz tyres. CEAT tyres are already used by RE on the Interceptor 650 & the Continental GT 650. However, their performance and feedback seem to have encouraged RE to use them on the Super Meteor. Meanwhile, the handlebar switchgear is different than the current 650 siblings. The silver/aluminum finished switchgear seems to have been carried from Meteor 350. Additionally, the bike hoses down a lot of chrome-plated parts. These include the new dual exhaust cans, engine cooling plates, etc.

Another interesting discovery via these pics is the tripper navigation. The Super Meteor 650 is going to be offered with a standard navigation system. It is a step-by-step navigation system that works via Bluetooth connection. Hence, the Super Meteor will be the first 650 bikes from RE to get the connected riding features. Meanwhile, the spied bike is almost production-ready. The low-slung styling with split seats, long handlebar, front set footpegs, & the laid-back rider traingle is its main design features. It is going to debut globally at the EICMA happening this month. Mechanically, it will use the same 648cc, parallel-twin engine that makes 47 bhp of peak power & 52 Nm of peak torque.

Verdict

The Super Meteor 650 is an ambitious product from the cult company. Loaded with features like alloy wheels, USD forks, and tripper navigation; it will be priced above the current RE 650 twins. However, RE might take everyone by surprise with its pricing. It is expected to launch at Rider Mania 2022. Meanwhile, we suspect that it will cost upwards of Rs 3 lakh ex-showroom once launched.
