Should You Wait For The Creta Rival- Honda Elevate 2023? Find Out Here

Honda never shies away from the competition. Where in the sedan segment, it makes Hyundai Verna run for its money with the Honda City, it is eyeing the compact SUV space for quite some time now. It is now ready with the latest entry, Honda Elevate, in the Indian market to lock horns directly with the Hyundai Creta.

But, Should you wait for this compact SUV, or go with the existing ones? Read this space to find out everything that we know so far, and make your decision.

1. No Diesel Option

If you're on the lookout for a diesel compact SUV, then you're in for a disappointment. You might be already aware of the Diesel cars scene in India, more and more carmakers are now shifting towards petrol-only models. The same is the case with the Honda Elevate as well. This will only be available in petrol engines only. It is most likely to come with the engine options already working on the Honda City.

2. ADAS, But No Panoramic Sunroof

We all seem to be fascinated with the idea of self-braking and steering to the point that the manufacturers are now throwing this, once premium feature onto the more economical models (not to be read 'cheap'). Seems like the Elevate is pushing boundaries already. So, if ADAS is also on your checklist, Elevate can be on your watchlist too.

But, you will not be getting any panoramic sunroof. A small one? Yes! Is this a deal breaker? You be the judge. We will just leave it at that.

However, the features list will be up to date with current times including a bigger infotainment screen, wireless Android Auto/ Apple CarPlay, 6 airbags, full LED headlamps, and much more.

3. Engine Options - Strong Hybrid On Cards

If you were disappointed by the non-availability of diesel, it will be compensated by this - A strong hybrid is making its way with this SUV. But for starters, Elevate will come with normal petrol, but it will be followed by this strong hybrid engine option as a choice, later down the line. And if you ask us, if the diesel axing was absolutely required, this is a fair bargain,

4. Unofficial Bookings Already Underway

While we are here contemplating, if you should buy this SUV or not, the unofficial bookings are already underway. And in times like these, when buyers have to wait for up to 1 year to get their car delivered, booking at the earliest is the only hope to get it at a reasonable time. What we suggest is if you make up your mind to buy this one, the next thing you must do, is visit your nearest Honda dealership.

5. A Fresh Appeal

Everyone is hopping on this current trend of compact SUVs. The waiting list is long, while hundreds of thousands of the same plying on roads at the same time. Looking for something different to set yourself apart from the crowd( for some time at least!)? If yes, then it would be worth waiting for. A new product, up to date with the features and different from the rest, this might be the one for you.

5. Pricing

You can expect this to cost somewhere in the range of Rs. 10 lakh to Rs.18 lakhs. With the introduction of a strong hybrid later down the line, you could even see this range rising up a notch too. But at the initial launch, it is expected with a sole normal petrol engine. This puts it directly in the vicinity of its arch-rival, the Hyundai Creta.

VERDICT- The new Honda Elevate is a breath of fresh air, a big manufacturer, finally coming up with a promising product.
