Suzuki Burgman 150

The scooter is most likely to be powered by the same 155cc engine seen in the Gixxer range. In its current state of tune, this motor produces around 13.6 PS and 13.8 Nm of torque. However, since this is a scooter, it will be paired with a CVT automatic gearbox, making it more convenient for everyday usability as well as long-distance riding. With the addition of this larger engine, the Burgman 150 will position itself as a direct rival to models like the Hero Xoom 160, Yamaha Aerox 155, and the upcoming TVS Ntorq 150, strengthening Suzuki's presence in the premium scooter segment.
Being a maxi-scooter, it is expected to be built with a strong focus on comfort and touring capability. This means a longer wheelbase for improved stability, a more relaxed riding posture, and better seat cushioning for extended journeys. On the features front, Suzuki is likely to equip it with a more premium fully digital instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity, offering functions like navigation assist, call and message alerts, and ride data. Additionally, features such as ride modes and a high-definition display could further enhance its appeal as a modern, tech-loaded touring scooter.
Stay-tuned for more information on this scooter, as we'll keep on updating this, and this scooter will launch on April 2nd, 2026.
Verdict
If Suzuki introduces the Burgman 150 with the 155cc engine, it could become a strong contender in the premium scooter space. With a focus on comfort, touring ability, and everyday practicality, it will offer a more relaxed alternative to sportier rivals. Pricing, however, will be the key to its success.
