KTM 250 Duke: What's New?

The 250 Duke retains the same core design, but the new Ebony Black paint scheme makes the motorcycle resemble some of the bigger Dukes available globally. The whole motorcycle is draped in black all over, even the frame. The only notable exceptions are the 250 badging on the tank, and the monoshock.

The 250 Duke was also recently updated with a new 5-inch TFT cluster featuring bluetooth connectivity, call/SMS alerts, navigation, music streaming, and a new four-way switch cube. The other update was the LED headlight, with a DRL treatment similar to what we've seen on the 390 Duke.

Everything else on the motorcycle remains the same; it retains the same 249cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder powertrain, 29.5bhp and 25Nm of torque, paired to a 6-speed transmission with a bi-directional quick shifter. The USD forks continue to be non-adjustable, and the pre-load adjustable monoshock has also been retained.

Verdict

The new 250 Duke continues to receive updates, thus showing the commitment the Austrian bike maker has towards its 250cc customers as well. The Ebony Black paint scheme is minimalistic and will go down well with buyers who might find the orange highlights too loud.
