Kia Cars Price Hike From April 2024: How Much More?

This latest update about Kia's portfolio has been conveyed by the brand itself. It says that the price tags of its portfolio are set to rise by up to three percent across its entire range. This means that all the models currently on sale will be getting refreshed price tags from April 1, 2024. The brand further states the reason for this as rising input costs and supply-chain-related factors.

Currently, Kia sells a range of SUVs and an MPV under its roof, spanning petrol, and diesel, as well as an EV option. Kia Seltos, Sonet, Carens, and the Kia EV6 are the products on sale. Interestingly, the Seltos which starts at Rs. 10.90 lakhs, and Kia Sonet with a starting price of Rs. 7.99 lakhs are the 2 best sellers for the brand. It has sold over 6.3 lakh units of Seltos with around 3.95 lakh units clocked by Sonet. Carens on the other hand fares well with a 1.95 lakh sales unit.

In February, Kia voluntarily recalled 4358 units of the 1.5 litre naturally aspirated petrol CVT variants produced between February 28 to July 13, 2023. The reason? To fix a potential error with the oil pump controller in the CVT gearbox. While Kia proactively contacted the owner of the affected unit and changed the part, free of cost.
