Hyundai Verna Facelift

Testing has been underway since early 2025, but there is still no clear information about its launch date. That said, we now have a new development - its interior photos have surfaced, revealing a new steering wheel, the same unit seen on the new Hyundai Venue. This three-spoke, D-cut steering wheel features the four-dot design in the centre, replacing the Hyundai logo. It also gets red stitching, indicating that this is the sportier variant, powered by the 1.5L T-GDi engine producing 160 PS and 253 Nm of torque, making it the most powerful in its segment.

These are the only details available for now, but considering it's a facelift, it is expected to get a revised front fascia, new alloy wheels, and several minor updates to make it look fresh. There will likely be no changes to the powertrain, and it is expected to continue with the 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine with 6-MT and iMT options, along with the 1.5L T-GDi engine paired with a 7-DCT.

The expected starting price will likely remain close to the current level, beginning at around Rs 10.90 lakh (ex-showroom). However, it could be around Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 more expensive than the current starting price, considering the rise in inflation and input costs.

Verdict
The Hyundai Verna facelift appears to bring subtle but meaningful updates, especially with the new Venue-sourced steering wheel and refreshed styling elements. While the powertrain is expected to remain unchanged, these minor revisions should help keep the Verna competitive and appealing in its segment.
