However, there is a piece of good news for those who extensively use an automatic scooter as these can now be fitted with a CNG kit. For starters, this CNG can be retrofitted on any petrol scooter and is currently being offered by many CNG kit providers. One such kit is being offered by LOVATO which is priced at Rs 15,000 and is being imported from Italy. The scooters fitted with CNG kits will be able to run on both, petrol as well CNG and will have a small CNG cylinder has a rated capacity of close to 1.2-L Litre. Having said that, the users will be able to switch between petrol and CNG mode as and when required. The CNG kit is fitted below the rider's seat, in the storage box while the cylinders are placed at the front.
