In 2021, Maruti Suzuki upgraded the Celerio with a new design and additional features. Although the regular Celerio variants now have a new design language, the Celerio H2 Taxi still uses the previous one. The Maruti Celerio Tour H2 debuted in February 2018 with just one variant. It is based on the Celerio lineup's standard LXi (O) trim. Given that the company has previously upgraded the Celerio's regular variants, Maruti may soon update its taxi model. Here are the few things we know so far about the upcoming Celerio H2 Taxi.

On the Kondli-Manesar Expressway, we saw a Celerio test mule that was camouflaged and appeared to be the future taxi model.

2022 Maruti Celerio Tour H2 Taxi - Engine

The upcoming Celerio H2 Taxi is expected to get the same 1.0-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine with a company fitted CNG powertrain as the regular Celerio variants. This engine produces 56 bhp of power and 82 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated with a 5-speed automatic transmission and same is expected to be carried in the Celerio H2 Taxi facelift.

As far as the design in concerned the Celerio H2 Taxi is expected to get the same design language as the current gen Celerio. It will have halogen headlamps around a black grille up front. Fog lamps won't be included in the cab version. On the side, blacked out door handles, black ORVMs and steel wheels.

2022 Maruti Celerio Tour H2 Taxi - Features

The taxi variant of the Celerio will come with all the basic features needed in a cab. It will get manual HVAC controls, an analogue instrument panel, front power windows, and others. It will include dual front airbags, ABS, and front disc brakes, and the speed will be limited to 80 kmph on the safety front.

2022 Maruti Celerio Tour H2 Taxi - Price and Launch

The upcoming Celerio H2 Taxi is anticipated to go on sale by the end of this year, while the company has not yet made any plans regarding it public. If we talk about the pricing, it can have a price tag of roughly 6 lakh (ex-showroom).
