2025 MG Astor and ZS EV: New Design, More Features

The leaked images of the design patents hint towards a sharp design and slight upgrades to the exteriors. For example, the front gets a redesigned bumper with new foglight housing. Additionally, the grille is not positioned on the lower half of the front. Meanwhile, the projector headlights are more stretched, giving it a futuristic appeal.

Moving to the side profile, the new model looks less unchanged as compared to the current car. But, the new design pattern of alloy wheels is evident. Also, the new C-pillar design and the quarter glass repositioning give it a premium feel.

At the rear, it gets a complete design revision. With the roof spoiler, a new glass design, and a new boot lid design with a sharp line running all over; the car now looks more aggressive and sleek. Things do not just end here as the LED taillights are now sleeker and give the outlook like a BMW X1. The rear bumper has also been revised to give the rear profile an uplifting look.

The interiors of the new model will also be revised extensively. While there are no photos available for the same, we expect a new dashboard, a new instrument console, and a new infotainment system with an updated UI.

New Engine for Astor?

MG shall launch the new model of the ZS EV in India by mid-2025. Internationally known as ZS, the ICE version in India is sold as Astor. The current model of Astor has started to feel outdated in design. Additionally, the powertrain options of Astor are not as economical as the rivals like Maruti Grand Vitara and Hyundai Creta. Hence, there is a possibility that MG might bring a new strong-hybrid petrol engine to India with the new model.

The electric version, called ZS EV, is likely to remain unchanged for a major part. The new model of EV will get the same battery and range options as the current model.

2025 MG Astor Expected Price

The current details known are very minute to predict the price hike that is expected to take place with the new model. But, when the updated car gets launched sometime in 2025; it is likely to get expensive by a few thousand for sure. Moreover, we expect an updated ADAS module and better safety features will also be offered with it.
