As per a recent statement by the authorities at Honda, the brand plans to launch multiple two wheeler models with an electric powertrain. Recently, they introduced multiple fuel efficient products in the market to cater to the needs of the public for urban commute. Now, the brand plans to strengthen its base in terms of overseas shipments and exports

India acts as a hub of manufacturing technology for multiple brands due to the abundance of resources and effective costing. Due to the geographically perfect location of India, enterprises plan shipments and find it easy to export them to other International markets.

For the same purpose, Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India plans to develop its Manesar based manufacturing plant as the global hub for international market exports, thus serving multiple developing as well as developed countries. With a strong focus on developing fuel efficient products, the enterprise is also working on developing technologies related to flex fuel cells with a well drafted plan for the future. They plan on introducing a phase wise transition and implementation of electric powertrain technology across their entire lineup.

The automotive manufacturers are able to avail multiple benefits of the electric vehicle subsidiaries in the country, which is encouraging them to introduce more products with competitive costs. These leverages have proven to be one of the significant factors in increasing the feasibility of developing electric vehicles in house. Honda also plans to kick start its operations in the low end motorcycle segment to boost electric mobility.

Honda Motorcycles and Scooters currently serves more than forty countries from the Indian homelands. With this additional milestone in the supply chain system, they aim to negate the effects of increasing manufacturing costs and fuel prices by bringing electric scooters and bikes in the upcoming future. All the Honda scooters and bikes in India are manufactured at their state of art production facilities situated at four different locations in the country, namely, Manesar (Haryana, Tapukara (Rajasthan), Vithalapur (Gujarat) and Narsapur (Karnataka).
