You Won't Be Able To Buy Bajaj Pulsar 180 Anymore - Here's Why

One of the longest-running motorbike lineup in the Indian market is the Bajaj Pulsar lineup. Motorcycle models in the Pulsar lineup range in size from 125cc to 250cc. Recent media reports claim that Bajaj quietly removed the Pulsar 180 from its portfolio. The Pulsar 180 is no longer displayed on the manufacturer's website. Additionally, the reports imply that the dealers are not receiving new motorcycle stock.

Although the brand is silent about the discontinuance, the poor demand is likely to be the primary factor. The Pulsar 180 was reintroduced by Bajaj Auto in February 2021 with an engine that complies with BS6. It features a nearly identical design to the Pulsar 150 with minor cosmetic adjustments and more colour choices. The Pulsar 180 was last available for Rs 1.17 lakh ex-showroom.

The 178.6cc engine of the Pulsar 180 was capable of 16.76 bhp of power and 14.52 Nm of maximum torque. The 5-speed gearbox was connected to the engine. Both ends have disc brakes for braking, and single-channel ABS is a standard component. The other parts include dual springs with a five-step preload adjustment, telescopic forks, and 17-inch alloy wheels on both ends.

On the features front, it featured semi-digital instrument cluster, split LED tail lamps, and halogen headlamps. The brand might have plans to release a new Pulsar 180 model, but this is only speculation.

Other Pulsar-related news includes the company's testing of the future Pulsar N125, which will be based on the N160 and N250 models. For the first time, a test mule of the 2023 Bajaj Pulsar N125 was seen on roads. The impending N125 appears to be the N160's younger brother or sister. Along with the fuel tank, the projector headlight, LED DRL, and taillight all have a similar design. There are several features that set it distinct from its siblings, though. Some of them include the one-piece seat, the small headlamp cowl, the single tubular pillion grip rail, and the thin tyres.
