Maruti Suzuki Dzire

The Maruti Dzire and Baleno have been crash tested under Bharat NCAP, with the Dzire securing a 5-star safety rating, while the Baleno earns a 4-star rating. The Dzire scores 29.46/32 for adult safety and 41.57/49 for child safety, whereas the Baleno delivers comparatively lower scores, highlighting a gap in overall occupant protection.

The Maruti Dzire Tour S has been launched for fleet operators at a starting price of Rs 6.79 lakh (ex-showroom), marking the entry of the new-gen Dzire into the commercial segment. Based on the base LXi trim, it offers petrol and CNG options along with essentials and a strong safety package including six airbags as standard. 

The Maruti Dzire has received its first price hike since launch, with prices increasing by up to Rs 10,000 depending on the variant. The VXi and ZXi AMT variants see the highest hike, while most other trims get a Rs 5,000 increase and the ZXi+ manual remains unchanged.

The Maruti Dzire CNG has started arriving at dealerships ahead of deliveries, indicating its rollout is underway. It comes with a 1.2-litre Z-Series petrol+CNG engine and is offered in VXi and ZXi variants, targeting buyers prioritising low running costs.

The 2024 Maruti Dzire has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 6.79 lakh (ex-showroom), bringing a completely new design, updated features, and a new Z-series petrol engine. It also gets a stronger safety package with six airbags as standard and a 5-star crash rating, making it a significantly more modern and safer upgrade over the previous model.
