The entry-level XE variant of the Altroz lacks several features. Therefore, it is advisable not to buy this variant. Instead, consider upgrading to the XM variant if budget constraints are a concern. The XT variant is not much recommended. However, the XZ variant stands out as one of the highly recommended options in the Altroz lineup. This variant allows you to choose from any of the four available engine options. It also offers a substantial number of features. • The Altroz stands out as the only hatchback in its segment to offer four engine options. These include a 1.2-litre NA petrol engine, a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine, a 1.2-litre CNG engine, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine.
• The 1.2-liter NA petrol engine delivers 88 PS of power and 113 Nm of peak torque. This engine is also available with a CNG option. The petrol engine is offered with a 5-speed manual and DCA automatic transmission. The CNG variant comes with a 5-speed manual.
• The 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine generates 110 PS of power and 140 Nm of peak torque, paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Lastly, the 1.5-litre diesel engine produces 90 PS of power and 200 Nm of peak torque, coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission.

Good Steering Response & Suspension Offer Good Ride 8

• Tata Motors has effectively fine-tuned the suspension for the Altroz. This compact car is built on the new ALFA Arc platform. It delivers impressive high-speed stability and exhibits substantial mechanical grip while navigating corners. Despite these merits, the suspension is configured on the softer side. It ensures comfort for occupants on uneven roads.
• However, there is a noticeable degree of body roll when tackling corners. This becomes slightly disconcerting. This vertical movement also becomes evident during rapid lane-changing manoeuvres.
• The steering has been finely calibrated. This presents a noticeable improvement. It is especially noticeable for those who are used to driving Maruti Suzuki or Hyundai vehicles. It doesn't feel excessively light. The slight heft is manageable when manoeuvring through busy streets. Additionally, the communicative nature of the steering proves beneficial when navigating corners.
