Ask any youngster of India, if you would have no budget constraints which motorcycle will you get for yourself? Most likely the answer will be a KTM Duke streetfighter or a supersport KTM RC. The KTM brand has a huge fan-following in India. All thanks to their performance-oriented handsome-looking motorcycles in the budget. In 2017, KTM launched the Duke 250 and it is considered as the most well-balanced Duke in KTM's India line-up. Very recently, the Duke 250 has received a facelift and BS6 update. So, today we have for you the First Look Review of the new 2020 KTM Duke 250 BS6.

2020 KTM Duke 250 BS6: Looks and Colour Options
KTM Duke 250 has always been a handsome-looking motorcycle. With the recent facelift update, it has got even better. The Duke 250 now looks even more menacing and has a very sporty appeal. At the front, it now gets an all-LED headlamp with LED DRL, same like the Duke 390. Also, it now gets new attractive body graphics with bold numerical branding and dual-tone shades. The exposed orange trellis frame and orange alloys further enhance the appeal of the motorcycle. At the rear, it gets a LED tailight. The new 2020 KTM Duke 250 BS6 is available in two colour variants. They are Dark Galvano and Silver Metallic colour shades.

2020 KTM Duke 250 BS6: Engine, Transmission and Mileage
The new 2020 KTM Duke 250 is powered by a BS6-compliant 248.8cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine. This motor churns out 30 PS of power at 9000 RPM and 24 Nm of peak torque at 7250 RPM. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The Duke 250 has raw power and the KTM Duke streetfighters have always been known for their excellent outright performance. Also, the KTM Duke 250 BS6 will deliver a decent mileage of around 30-35 kmpl in real-world conditions.

2020 KTM Duke 250 BS6: Tyres, Brakes and Features
The Duke 250 sits on a Steel Trellis Frame. For suspension duties, it gets 43 mm upside-down (USD) forks at the front from WP with 142 mm travel and a mono-shock absorber at the rear with 150 mm travel. The braking duties are handled by disc brakes at both the ends. At the front, it gets a 300 mm disc while at the rear, the Duke 250 has a 230 mm disc unit. Also, it gets dual-channel ABS from Boscho with switchable supermoto mode. The Duke 250 runs on 17-inch tubeless tyres. The front tyre measures 110/70-17 while the rear one is a 150/60 section 17-inch unit. Talking about other features, it gets an all-digital instrument cluster loaded with a ton of information.

The new 2020 KTM Duke 250 BS6 is available in a single variant. It is priced at Rs. 2.09 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi. The new Duke 250 rivals against a lot of other quarter-litre motorcycles which include the Suzuki Gixxer 250, new Yamaha FZ 25, Bajaj Dominar 250, Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 and Vitpilen 250. Finally, talking about the verdict, so if you want a feature-loaded naked streetfighter motorcycle with aggressive looks, agile handling and punchy performance, then you should definitely get the new KTM Duke 250 BS6.
