2021 Kawasaki Z900 BS6 Launched in India; Priced at Rs 7.99 Lakhs

Kawasaki India is on a roll. This Premium two-wheeler manufacturer is launching back to back new BS6-compliant motorcycles in the Indian market. Just a few days ago, the company has launched the new Kawasaki Vulcan S BS6 which is currently the most affordable BS6 Kawasaki in India. Now, the company has launched its litre-class naked streetfighter, the BS6 Z900. The new 2021 Kawasaki Z900 BS6 has been launched at Rs. 7.99 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi. Here are some more details about it.

Kawasaki India has already revealed the new Z900 BS6 in December last year. It was about to be launched in March this year, but thanks to the on-going coronavirus pandemic, the launch was delayed. Talking about the changes, so the new Z900 gets several cosmetic and mechanical upgrades and also some new features have been added. First of all, talking about the aesthetic changes, so the new Z900 gets an all-LED headlamp, LED taillight and LED turn indicators. The motorcycle retains its aggressive appeal and it now gets new sharp tank extensions and a slightly revised rear-end.

Powering the new Kawasaki Z900 is a BS6-compliant 948cc, liquid-cooled engine. This in-line four-cylinder motor churns out a whopping 125 PS of power at 9500 RPM and 98.6 Nm of peak torque at 7700 RPM. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and it gets an assist and slipper clutch. The new BS6 Z900 now features a host of other electronic aids like a three-level KTRC or Kawasaki Traction Control System with two power modes - Low and Full, etc. It also gets four different riding modes - Sport, Road, Rain and a manual setting called Rider.

The Kawasaki Z900 sits on a trellis frame. For suspension duties, it gets a 41 mm upside-down (USD) front forks and a pre-load adjustable mono-shock absorber at the rear. The braking duties are handled by a 300 mm petal disc at the front and a 230 mm petal disc at the rear. It also gets dual-channel ABS as standard. The Z900 BS6 is shod in new Dunlop Sportmax Roadsport 2 tyres that will enhance its superb handling characteristics. Like other new Kawasakis, the new Z900 also gets a 4.3-inch TFT instrument cluster which displays a ton of information and gets Bluetooth connectivity too. The riders can also connect their smartphone via Kawasaki's Rideology application.

Finally, talking about the price, so the new 2021 Kawasaki Z900 BS6 has been launched at Rs. 7.99 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi. The new Z900 BS6 is around 30,000 rupees dearer than the BS4 Z900 but it costs the exact same as the Special Edition BS4 Z900. This is a fantastic price for this motorcycle as it not just gets a BS6 update but also gets several substantial upgrades. The new Z900 BS6 is available in two colour variants - Metallic Graphite Gray and Candy Lime Green. It rivals against the BMW F900 R and Triumph Street Triple R in the Indian market.
