2022 Bajaj Pulsar 125 sports bike has been launched with a new variant. The Carbon Fiber edition of Pulsar 125 is now on sale at Rs 89,524.

The 2022 Bajaj Pulsar 125 carbon fiber edition has been launched in India. The new Carbon Edition is available in two trims. Both single-seat & split-seat variants are now available with this new edition. However, there are no mechanical changes to the bike. Meanwhile, the prices of the Carbon Edition range from Rs 89,524 (single-seat) - Rs 91,642 (Split-seat) ex-showroom.

Speaking of the new edition, it gets carbon fiber graphics on the body panels. Additionally, the bike is available in two colours - red & blue. The fuel tank & extensions, headlight cowl, rear panels, & alloy wheel sidewalls are painted with colour highlights. However, the rest of the panels are supported via the black base colour. Meanwhile, the carbon fiber graphics are added along with the colour highlights. The design, however, is the same as the current bike. The iconic Pulsar headlight & sharp looks retain on the Carbon edition as well.

Apart from the cosmetic update, no other changes have been done to it. It means the bike remains mechanically unchanged. It uses a 124.4cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. This engine makes a peak power of 11.64 bhp & 10.8 Nm of peak torque. A 5-speed gearbox is used to transfer this power to the rear wheel. In terms of features, it gets a semi-digital instrument cluster & telescopic front forks. The braking is done via a single 240mm front disc brake & a drum brake unit at the rear.

Verdict

The Pulsar remains the most iconic entry-level sports bike in India. However, its design has started to grow older. In order to keep the Pulsar brand relevant, the new carbon edition puts in a fresh flair. Its main rivals in India are - Honda SP 125, TVS Radeon, & the Hero Glamour Xtec.
