MINI India launched the 2022 MINI Cooper SE Electric in the Indian market with a starting price of Rs 47.20 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Cooper SE Electric will be the second electric offering in the Indian market from the BMW Group after the BMW iX. While the pre-bookings for this electric car commenced from October 2021, the first batch of 30 cars was sold out in starting few months. Here are all the details of the MINI Cooper SE that you should check out.
For starters, the Cooper SE gets a 181 bhp electric motor that boasts a peak torque output of 270 Nm. The motor takes its juice from the 32.6kWh lithium-ion battery pack that provides a range of 270 km on a single charge. The car boasts a 0-100 kmph timing of just 7.3 seconds while the top speed is restricted to 150 kmph. The car is heavier by 145 kg when compared to the petrol iteration of the car.
Having said this, the Cooper SE electric gets 17-inch alloy wheels with round headlamps at the front, Union Jack Themed LED taillights, round ORVMs, and a compact yet sporty styling. The three-door MINI Cooper SE electric will be available in four colours - White Silver, Midnight Black, Moonwalk Grey and British Racing Green. The Cooper SE Electric will be brought into the country via the completely built unit (CBU) and the deliveries will start from March 22, 2022.
MINI India is currently offering a maximum warranty of 8 years or 1,00,000 km while the next batch of the cars will be brought into the country starting from March 2022.
