Harley-Davidson has finally launched its most-affordable bike. The 2023 Harley-Davidson X350 has been launched in China. The new bike gets a parallel-twin engine & it is available in two colour options. The launch price of it is 33,388 Yuan (Rs 3.93 lakh approximately). 2023 Harley-Davidson X350 - Details

Harley has been working in a JV with QJ Motors for some time now. QJ Motors is a China-based bike brand that also owns Benelli & Keeway. Hence, the new affordable bike has been produced by both manufacturers. The new X350 is designed for fun city riding. It gets a comfortable roadster posture & design. Meanwhile, the bike also gets Harley DNA in its design. For example, the round LED headlight & round LED indicators look retro. However, the X350 is a compact yet heavy machine. Its kerb weight stands at 195 kg which is pretty heavy for a city bike.

Feature-wise, X350 is equipped with the latest tech. It gets LED lights, a semi-digital speedometer, & dual front disc brakes. Its rear is equipped with a single disc brake & an off-set monoshock suspension. At the front, it gets USD suspension for better ride & handling. Meanwhile, Harley has fitted 17-inch alloy wheels on it for better performance. Minimal body panels, black-out engine casing, & low-slung rider seat give it a distinctive look. Harley will soon be launching another bike on the same platform but with a bigger engine. It will be called X500.

As it shares its underpinnings with QJ Motors, the engine is QJ-sourced. It is equipped with a 353cc, parallel-twin engine. However, this liquid-cooled engine makes 34 bhp of peak power. Additionally, it also gets a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper-assist clutch. Internationally, it'll be competing with KTM Duke 390 & BMG G 310 R. However, in India, its rivals are Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. This is due to its premium quality & hefty price tag.

Verdict

The X350 is destined to become a mass-seller for Harley. However, it is only available in China now. In the coming future, it will eventually get launched in other markets like the USA. But, there is no confirmation of its launch in India anytime soon. Meanwhile, we can not ignore the fact that India is a hub for middle-weight 350cc bikes. Royal Enfield Hunter 350 is a perfect example of it; as it has become a blockbuster. If it gets launched in India, we expect its pricing to be above Rs 3.5 lakh.
