Hi, I'm Tejen. I was born and brought up in a small town of Haryana. However, from the day of my birth and until now, I've always lived around cars and motorcycles. More than passion, the automotive world is my only lifestyle. It's the connection to the vehicle that delivers me peace. However, when it comes to a choice; my instinct leads me towards motorcycles.

2023 KTM Duke 390 Nears Production-Ready Stage; Spied Testing Again

2023 KTM Duke 390 naked sports motorcycle is nearing its production-ready stage. The bike was spied testing globally. New details have emerged.

KTM is slowly updating its whole lineup in India as well as globally. One of the prominent models in the lineup is the Duke series. We reported earlier that the 2023 KTM Duke 390 was spied testing in India recently. Another spy photo of the near production-ready bike has surfaced online. The new test bike was spied testing overseas with new technical parts from bigger siblings.

Speaking of the test bike, it embraces some technical changes & features as seen on its bigger siblings. For example, the rear subframe is a completely new portion & resembles the KTM Duke 790. Also, the front headlight cowl is sharper as well as raked mimicking the bigger Duke series bikes.

Other noticeable changes include the new alloy wheels as seen over the newly launched 2022 KTM RC 390. Also, the disc brake units at both the tyres are brand new. They even seem bigger than the outgoing model. WP Apex USD suspension at the front is readily visible which does not come as a surprise.

Mechanically, the new motorcycle will house the same tried & tested engine. The 373cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine will be tweaked for better redline performance & efficiency. This engine produced a peak power of 42.9 bhp & 37 Nm of peak torque. We also suspect some changes to the cooling system & the air-filter box design to settle the engine towards more cooling.

The recent price bump in the 2022 RC 390 hints that the new-gen Duke will also receive the price hike. With new tech & features, we expect that it could be priced around Rs 3 lakh mark in India. The launch is expected by mid-2023. Rivals include - Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 & Honda CB300R.
