2025 TVS Apache 160 2V, 180 2V Teased
A recent teaser from TVS dropped a subtle hint with a glimpse of sharp, twin LED DRLs, which strongly suggest we're looking at the refreshed TVS Apache 160 2V or 180 2V. While the teaser plays it coy, you can expect a significant safety upgrade, likely a move to dual-channel ABS, a welcome addition that would certainly boost rider confidence. On the cosmetic front, we could see a revised LED headlight design to give these bikes a more distinctive face, along with some vibrant new colour schemes to inject a fresh dose of visual appeal.
Beyond aesthetics, don't be surprised if TVS sprinkles in some desirable feature enhancements. We might finally get a more advanced instrument console packed with additional functionalities, also USD (Upside Down) forks for the top-spec variants, pushing the envelope in terms of handling and premium feel. Of course, this is all enthusiastic speculation for now as there are no concrete details, but these are certainly the most probable advancements considering the past updates that the TVS has endowed its line-up with.

Engine Details
Underneath all these potential new bells and whistles, the heart of these machines is expected to remain familiar. The Apache RTR 160 2V will likely continue with its 160cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, currently punching out a respectable 16 hp at 8,750 rpm and 13.85 of torque at 7,000 rpm. Similarly, the Apache 180 will hold onto its 177cc mill, rated for 17hp at 9,000 rpm and 15.5 Nm at 7,000rpm.
Apart from this, expect a price hike to accompany both these models in a bid to adjust the updates. Currently, the Apache RTR 180 is prices at Rs 1,35,020 while the Apache RTR 160 is set at Rs 1,21,420 both prices ex-showroom.
Verdict
TVS has been updating its lineup and after it made shuffles with the Apache RTR 200 and the RR 310 to introduce some significant updates in terms of the USD forks, the same can be expected with this update as well. Not to reiterate the knwon fact that even in its current guise, the bikes are already pretty well equipped in terms of features as well as the engine performance.
