2026 kawasaki Ninja 650 Launched

Kawasaki has launched the 2026 iteration of their popular Ninja 650 at Rs 7.91 lakh (ex-showroom). For the new model year, the middleweight sport-tourer continues with its familiar design and full-fairing layout, carrying forward the same styling as the outgoing version. In India, the Ninja 650 will be offered exclusively in the signature Lime Green colour, while the black and grey shades available in global markets will not be introduced here.

While the mechanical package remains unchanged, Kawasaki has made a few notable updates for 2026. The Ninja 650 now features a 4.3-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity, enhancing the overall riding experience. Safety and rider assistance tech include LED lighting, dual riding modes for traction control, and ABS. Apart from these additions, the motorcycle remains mechanically identical to its predecessor.
Powertrain

Mechanically, the bike remains the same, continues to be powered by a tried and tested 649cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. This setup belts out 67 bhp and 64 nm of peak torque when paired up with a 6-speed gearbox, along with a slip and assist clutch. Apart from this, the suspension setup also remains the same, with telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock unit at the rear. However, braking duties are handled by dual discs at the front and a single disc setup at the rear.

Verdict
The 2026 Kawasaki Ninja 650 sticks to its proven formula, focusing on meaningful tech updates rather than a complete overhaul. With the addition of a TFT display, smartphone connectivity and enhanced safety features, the Ninja 650 remains a well-rounded middleweight sport-tourer for riders seeking a blend of everyday comfort and performance. While the lack of mechanical changes may disappoint some, the Ninja 650 continues to be a dependable and refined option in its segment.
