Mahindra’s August 2026 sales numbers are out, and the company had a strong month, driven by higher SUV sales. Domestic SUV sales stood at 59,257 units, a solid up of 50% over the same month last year, while exports climbed even faster. Factor in commercial vehicles, three-wheelers and shipments abroad, and Mahindra's overall volumes for August 2026 touched 1,07,648 units. Here's a closer look at the Mahindra August 2026 sales report and its break down across SUVs, and exports.
Mahindra SUV Sales Climb 50%

|---|---|---|---|
Domestic SUV Sales | 59,257 | 39,399 | +50% |

Utility vehicles remain Mahindra's entire domestic passenger vehicle business, and the company added close to 19,858 units over last August to cross the 59,000 marks. Sequentially, volumes eased about 1.3% from July's 60,048 units, but that's a minor dip against a year that has otherwise been consistently strong. The current SUV line-up driving this growth includes the Scorpio N, Scorpio Classic, Thar, Thar Roxx, XUV 3XO, XUV 7XO, the Bolero range, and Mahindra's expanding electric SUV portfolio. Year-to-date, cumulative SUV sales for the first five months of FY27 stand at 2,94,050 units, a 22% rise over the corresponding period last year, with the festive season still to come.
Exports Surge, Total Sales Cross 1.08 Lakh

Category | Aug 2026 | Aug 2025 | Growth (YoY) |
|---|---|---|---|
Exports | 6,054 | 3,548 | +71% |
YTD Exports (Apr-Aug) | 26,012 | 15,983 | +63% |
Total Company Sales | 1,07,648 | - | - |
Exports were the standout growth driver in percentage terms. Mahindra shipped 6,054 vehicles overseas in August 2026 against 3,548 units a year ago, a 71% jump, taking year-to-date export volumes to 26,012 units, up 63%. Pooling SUVs, light commercial vehicles, three-wheelers and exports together, Mahindra's total sales for the month reached 1,07,648 units. On the farm equipment side, tractor sales also stayed in positive territory, with domestic volumes at 27,595 units (+5%) and total tractor sales, including exports, at 29,507 units which is supported by improving rainfall and a healthy Kharif sowing outlook ahead of the festive season.
Conclusion
Mahindra's August 2026 performance shows a business firing on nearly every cylinder SUVs, commercial vehicles, three-wheelers and exports have all posted double-digit or stronger growth over last year. The 50% jump in domestic SUV sales confirms that demand for models like the Thar Roxx, XUV 7XO and Scorpio N remains robust even ahead of the festive season, while the 71% surge in exports signals Mahindra is increasingly finding traction in overseas markets too. With the festive months typically being the strongest stretch for Indian SUV sales, Mahindra looks well placed to carry this momentum through the rest of FY27.
