It's been a while that Audi has launched any of its new product in the Indian market but not anymore. No, it's not the long-due Audi A8L but their flagship SUV, the all-new Audi Q8 which is set to be launched on 15th January. The SUV will be brought in via full import route and will be charged with all the taxes and duties.
The Audi Q8 has already been spied at the dealership level, days before its launch, in a bright orange shade. The spy images show the side and rear profile of the upcoming SUV. Talking about the design then Audi's new design with a wider grille upfront.
The flared wheel arches, coupe-like roofline and frameless doors give the SUV a distinct look. The spied image carries 21-inch alloy wheels but Audi has confirmed that as the International model, they will also offer an option of 22-inchers on the Q8.

At the back, the LED taillights are joined by a slim light bar that connects the units. The cabin design is new and the dashboard receives piano black layout with a large 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
The virtual cockpit system shows the instrumental cluster and there is another 8.6-inch display below the air-con vents for other functions. Adaptive cruise control, lane assist, 360-degree camera are some of the features the SUV receives.

Under the hood, the Audi Q8 will get a petrol engine option only. The 55 TFSI unit which packs the 3.0-litre, turbo petrol motor churns out a whopping 340 bhp on tap. The maximum torque sticks to 500 Nm. The SUV can do a sprint of 0-100 km/h in 5.9 seconds and it'll get an AWD system. Knowing that the Audi Q8 is a full import, we can expect the prices to stick around to Rs 1.5 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi).
