Bajaj Freedom 125 CNG Bike Safety Explained - Check Details Here

Bajaj recently launched the first-ever CNG bike in the world. The new Bajaj Freedom 125 is powered by a hybrid technology of CNG and petrol fuel. Bajaj Freedom 125 Safety Measures: Is it a Safe Bike?

So, as per Bajaj, the Freedom 125 is an absolutely safe bike just like any other petrol-powered bike. Now, this claim is not just verbal, but, Bajaj also showcased the crash testing video of the Freedom, during the launch event. The Freedom 125 has passed through 11 different crash tests, including head-on collision, fire tests, and many more. However, to depict the safety of its CNG technology, Bajaj also released a video of a 10-tonne truck going over the CNG bike.

Now, this is a rather horrendous scenario, but sadly it is a reality on Indian roads that bikers are often crushed by big vehicles. Not blaming anyone, Bajaj simply showed that even after being crushed by the heavy truck, the CNG tank and the pressure valve, all remained intact, and under the 'safe' zone. Not only it, but the CNG tank remained unscratched even after a head-on collision with a 1.5-tonne mid-size vehicle weight. The trellis steel frame of the bike is seen intact, even after such a strong collision.

Bajaj has ensured that the hybrid tech of Freedom is not just accessible but also safe for buyers. As the aim is to make the commuter segment more affordable than the other alternative fuel vehicles, the Freedom 125 offers the best of safety and equipment. For reference, it is available in three variants that are essentially different in terms of LED headlight and a front disc brake. The pricing of Freedom starts from Rs 95,000 and goes up to Rs 1.10 lakh.
