The Dominar 250 sports a dual-barrel exhaust which has a stubby sound note and comes with a comfortable premium seat. 

To make the rider feel safer, the bike comes with dual channel ABS and front and rear disc brakes. The bike comes with a full LED headlamp cluster with integrated DRLs. to cover various riding needs, the headlamp is installed with four modes - Position lamp, Automatic Headlamp On (AHU), high beam and low beam. Bajaj with its Dominar 250 comes with in-built bungee straps under the pillion seat that helps tie down the luggage properly and safely. 

Pulsar 250F on the other hand is engineered for exhilarating ride and enhanced performance. According to Bajaj Auto this half-fairing 250F is the biggest Pulsar in its series. The new motorcycle is built on the principles of sculptural purity whereas the bike will make sure that it makes everyone feel its presence on roads. The bike features satin silver components finished in metallic hues with dual-tone dynamic design language. The bike is equipped with an all digital instrument cluster that shows all the basic information needed on rides. 

Bajaj Pulsar 250F comes with advanced ABS for safer braking and comes equipped with bigger disc brakes at both ends, The front comes with a 300mm disc and 230mm at the rear.

The latest-generation Pulsar 250F is powered by a 250cc single-cylinder four-stroke SOHC oil-cooled Fi petrol engine that is capable of churning out 24.5 PS of maximum power and 21.5 Nm of peak torque. 

Bajaj Dominar 250 on the other hand is powered by a 248.77cc, single cylinder, twin spark, FI, liquid cooled, DOHC petrol motor that is capable of churning out 27PS of maximum power and 23.5 Nm of peak torque. 

On comparing the specifications of both the 250cc sporty motorcycles it is evident that Dominar 250 and Pulsar 250F carry almost the similar specifications with each other. A slightest variation in the power and torque figures can be spotted from the figures mentioned in the table. 

Dimensions

To have a better idea on the size and stance of the bikes lets compare the dimensions of both the bikes. Dimensions play an important role as it helps in understanding the stance and riding position of the bike much better. The dimensions mentioned below are in mm.

The 250F has a kerb weight of 164 kg with a 14 litre fuel tank capacity. The new Pulsar 250F will hit the markets hard not just with its dimensions but with its performance as well. Pulsar 250F has a seat height of 795mm.

The latest generation Pulsar 250F is aggressively priced at a competitive price tag of Rs 1,40,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi). On the other hand, Bajaj Dominar 250 is priced at Rs 1,59,309 (ex-showroom, Delhi). 

Pulsar 250F asks for a competitive price tag as compared to its own siblings as well. 250F is cheaper than Dominar 250 and also cheaper than RS200. Bajaj wants to expand its customer base as much as it can due to which the bike is priced at such prices to make it affordable.  

Verdict

Bajaj always maintains the legacy with its range of motorcycles available in the market. Dominar is now an old player in the market and is known for its looks and performance. Baja being the leading manufacturer of two-wheelers and three-wheelers it now offers advanced technology and updated comfort and conveniences.

If I was supposed to choose between the two bikes, I would opt for Dominar 250 just because of its comfortable riding position and stance that it offers is the best in its segment. Though the bike is priced above 250F but the bike from all angles looks sporty with an aggressive stance, powerful performance and enhanced fuel efficiency. 

Bajaj Pulsar 250F, the latest-generation is no less, the bike will be full power but still needs some time to make its place in the market. The bike already has its fan following but the latest biggest Pulsar still needs to place itself on the top above all in its segment.
