Now, if you are thinking about the reason why Benelli has reduced the price of the motorcycle, so we have got the answer for you all. Hyderabad-based Mahavir Group owns Benelli India and the company states that they have reduced the price of the motorcycle because of two reasons. First of all, the company has increased localised content in its manufacturing process and secondly, the improvement in the value of the rupee against the dollar has been cited as the reason for the price cut. Well, it's good news for all as it is now more affordable than before and this will surely boost the sales of the motorcycle too. The Imperiale 400 is a very good retro classic motorcycle.
The new Benelli Imperiale 400 is powered by a BS6 compliant 374cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine. This new motor churns out 21 PS of power at 6000 RPM and 29 Nm of peak torque at 3500 RPM. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The Imperiale 400 rides on 19-inch (100/90-19) front and 18-inch (130/80-18) rear tyre. It gets disc brakes at either end along with dual-channel ABS as standard. The suspension duties on the motorcycle are performed by telescopic forks at the front and dual spring-loaded hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear.
